According to court documents, the 19-year-old suspect admitted firing the shot and passing the gun to someone else. He’s being held at Warren County Regional Jail as the investigation continues.

Changes coming to Medicaid, SNAP as Kentucky advocates explain what residents need to know (wnky.com) — Major changes to Medicaid and SNAP rules are on the way, and advocates just walked Bowling Green community leaders through what local residents need to do to keep coverage. At a ThriveKY session at the Bob Kirby Branch Library, experts detailed new work-reporting requirements, shorter renewal cycles, and housing pressures. They urged residents to update contact information, watch their mail, and seek help with confusing notices.
4. WKU extends strategic plan through 2031 (wbko.com) — Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green is extending its “Climbing to Greater Heights” strategic plan through 2031, sharpening priorities around student success and campus support. President Timothy Caboni outlined the updated roadmap at this week’s faculty and staff convocation. The extended plan will guide how WKU serves students, recruits talent, and engages the region over the next five years.
